Atkinson, NH - During a sunny Thursday morning on June 14, over 80 volunteers from Lewis Builders Development gathered at Atkinson Resort & Country Club to package meals for the hungry in Atkinson, NH.

Lewis Builders partnered with Outreach, Inc. hosting the meal packaging event. The meals consisted of a nutritious blend of macaroni, soy, and a vitamin enriched cheese blend designed for Outreach by Iowa State University’s Food Science Department.

Starting at 6 AM, employees arrived at the Atkinson Resort & Country Club to unload equipment and food supplies to kick off the event. By 7 AM, teams of ten volunteers surrounded tables to start the packaging with a goal to complete the 10,000 meals in under an hour. The 80 volunteers not only completed it under an hour, but finished in about 30 minutes.

“Thank you to our employees for putting the extra effort in to make this event go so smoothly. They exceeded our expectations and we got the job done in a way that truly represents us while having some fun as a group and supporting those less fortunate.” – Joshua Manning, General Manager

Shortly after the event, crews from Lewis Builders dropped off the packaged food to area food pantries including; Holy Angels Food Pantry – Plaistow NH, Lazarus House – Lawrence, MA, Somebody Cares New England – Haverhill, MA, Ruth’s House – Haverhill, MA, St. Anne’s – Hampstead, NH, Sandown Food Pantry – Sandown, NH, and Emmaus House – Haverhill, MA

For 60 years Lewis Builders Development has been creating neighborhoods around the Southern NH and Northern MA area. Based in Atkinson, New Hampshire, the company has helped build multiple communities and is spearheading pride for the rich history of the towns that they helped develop. Throughout their existence, Lewis Builders has contributed to several charities around the area in hopes to raise awareness for special organizations. Lewis Builders has embraced the Outreach Program and many others for the generosity they have brought to the neighborhoods that Lewis calls its home.

“With the donation received from the staff of Lewis Builders working in conjunction with the Outreach Program Lazarus House Food Pantry was able to distribute meals to over 400 families,” said Ken Campbell, Food Services Coordinator for Lazarus House. “These wholesome meals were able to feed greater than 1,500 family members. The Outreach Program supported by Lewis Builders allowed our Food Pantry to share in the distribution of a meal that an entire family could have together. This truly was a gift that all at Lazarus House was grateful for and feel Blessed by the generosity of so many.”

At Lewis Builders, the health and safety of our customers and employees is our top priority. We have been closely monitoring COVID-19 (coronavirus). Lewis Builders has advised all employees that if they are experiencing any symptoms to remain home as a precaution so as not to infect co-workers or customers they may come in contact with, and to notify us if they have traveled to any areas of concern. We are currently maintaining normal operations and advise all to follow the most current guidance from the Center for Disease Control, as well as state and local agencies. As the spread of the coronavirus has evolved, our continued focus has been on the health and safety of our employees and our customers. Main Office: Our main office at 54 Sawyer Ave is currently open to the public at normal operating hours. Please check back often as this may change. Tenants and Rental Applicants: If we do need to schedule maintenance, our team may ask you questions such as whether or not you have tested positive for COVID-19, have been asked to voluntarily quarantine yourself or if you or anyone in your home is ill or has been within the last 14 days . We ask you to answer these questions honestly, so that employees can take the appropriate steps to protect themselves from infection if a home visit is required. We have also developed a new Virtual Resident Center where you can make payments, submit requests, or apply online. If you have any questions or concerns regarding rentals, feel free to contact us at 603-362-5333 or email rentals@lewisbuilders.com .
