The Timberlane Regional School District helps make your move to Danville an A+ decision

Moving into a new town, not to mention a new state, can be a challenge especially if you are trying to find a good school district to place your children. As parents we want to find a school system that has great opportunities for our children who are enthusiastic about learning.

According to the non-profit organization Great Schools, the schools for Danville residents rank high in comparison to most of the other schools in the state. Here are some of the highlights in our findings.

Danville Elementary School

Danville Elementary School is a public elementary school on 23 School Street. 282 children attend Danville Elementary School, and the student to teacher is 11:1.

According to GreatSchools.org, Danville Elementary School is ranked as one of the best elementary schools in the state, scoring a 9/10 on their grade scale. The statistics show the students of Danville Elementary scored higher than the state average in both reading and math.

The school scored 8/10 in equity, the measure of equal opportunity and lessening the achievement gaps. Test scores for low-income students scored 7/10, higher than the state average.

Timberlane Middle School

At 828 students, Timberlane Middle School scored a 6/10 on GreatSchools.org. One of the most consistent characteristics of Danville area schools is the above average test scores of its students. In reading, the Timberlane Middle School students scored about 70% proficiency to the state average 61%, while in math, students scored 53% proficiency while the state average stands at 49%

With the 6/10 rating, GreatSchools.org claimed that the “average progress with high test scores means students have strong academic skills and are progressing at about the same rate as their peers at other schools in the state.” The students of Timberlane Middle School show tremendous promise and become prepared for an easy high school transition.

Timberlane High School

Timberlane High School hosts 1,229 students and currently rank 7/10 GreatSchools.org. In terms of preparing students to find success in college, their readiness has been ranked 8/10. 95% of students at Timberlane High School graduate from high school, whereas the state average is at around 88%. AP course participation was also above the state average.

Timberlane High School has numerous programs in their athletics department including tennis, softball, baseball, outdoor track, volleyball, lacrosse, and more. Timberlane also hosts some amazing art and afterschool activities. The Performance Arts Center always hosts quality shows featuring music and art and presents many programs encouraging students to be more involved in the arts.

At Lewis Builders, the health and safety of our customers and employees is our top priority. We have been closely monitoring COVID-19 (coronavirus). Lewis Builders has advised all employees that if they are experiencing any symptoms to remain home as a precaution so as not to infect co-workers or customers they may come in contact with, and to notify us if they have traveled to any areas of concern. We are currently maintaining normal operations and advise all to follow the most current guidance from the Center for Disease Control, as well as state and local agencies. As the spread of the coronavirus has evolved, our continued focus has been on the health and safety of our employees and our customers. Main Office: Our main office at 54 Sawyer Ave is currently open to the public at normal operating hours. Please check back often as this may change. Tenants and Rental Applicants: If we do need to schedule maintenance, our team may ask you questions such as whether or not you have tested positive for COVID-19, have been asked to voluntarily quarantine yourself or if you or anyone in your home is ill or has been within the last 14 days . We ask you to answer these questions honestly, so that employees can take the appropriate steps to protect themselves from infection if a home visit is required. We have also developed a new Virtual Resident Center where you can make payments, submit requests, or apply online. If you have any questions or concerns regarding rentals, feel free to contact us at 603-362-5333 or email rentals@lewisbuilders.com .
